ENTRY FEE – $8 per Goat per class, $6 Showmanship

JUDGING SYSTEM – AMERICAN
Mandatory Quality Assurance and Ethics Training. All livestock (large and small animal) exhibitors will be required to participate in a Quality Assurance and Ethics Training. Currently, the Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) online program has been approved by F&E to fulfill this requirement. Visit www.yqca.org and click Sign In/Register at the top of the page. Training must be complete prior to exhibitor arriving at the Fair. Exhibitor will NOT be allowed to show if training is not complete.
SHOW ENTRY INFORMATION
- Animals must be entered in individual classes to qualify for showmanship and group classes.
- The entry fee is $8.00 per goat per class. Showmanship is an additional $6.00. Pens are $8.00. Entry fees must accompany entry form or online entry. Make checks payable to the Cloverdale Citrus Fair. Check or money order must accompany entry form. (There will be a $20.00 service charge for returned checks.) Entry fees are non-refundable.

SHOW RULES
- All animals must be N.P.G.A. registered.
- Animals must be owned by the exhibitor for at least 60 days prior to the day of the show.
- This is a youth only show age 19 and under. All exhibitors must wear their official uniform while showing (4-H, FFA). Independent Juniors must wear white ankle length pants and shirt. Age on showmanship classes based on age as of December 31, 2022.
- Pens are not baby proof or jump proof. Please provide your own cover for your pen and/or plastic netting. Bedding will be provided.
- Health check: Only healthy animals may be entered; any animals having runny noses and/or eyes, coughs or other obvious signs of illness will be requested to leave. The decision made by the show committee is final and entry fees will not be refunded.
- P.G.A. rules to govern and take precedence over all others.
- No transfers accepted per fair rules. Original papers only.
- Will allow two (2) substitutions only; however, will allow no additions day of show.
- Exhibitors are responsible for entering and showing their goats in the right class.
- Any contestant winning 1st or 2nd in their showmanship class may be eligible for Round Robin. The 1st and 2nd place winners of the Junior and Intermediate classes will compete in a run-off to determine the representative for Junior Round Robin. Senior 4-H and FFA 1st and 2nd place winners will be eligible for those Round Robin classed. Please notify the Livestock Superintendent if he/she is unable to compete. Exhibitor is asked to supply animal for the class. Round Robin to take place Monday, February 20, 1pm.
There is no camping at the fairgrounds. Do not bring big motorhomes or trailers larger than horse trailers; there is no room to turn them around. The weather can be variable in February. Please come prepared for rain, fog, wind, etc. Protection for your animals, i.e., tarps is a good idea. Food vendors and exhibits will be available both Saturday and Sunday.
NOTE: This is a Citrus Fair show. Entry to the fair is included in exhibitors’ entry free. All others must pay admission: $11.00 General; $6.00 6yrs-12yrs, 62 & older; 5yrs & younger free.

- Only animals with ORIGINAL NPGA REGISTRATION PAPERS or transfer of ownership WITH ORIGINAL REGISTRATION PAPERS will be allowed to show. Transfers must be less than 90 days old. NPGA rules provide no animals with the judge’s herd name may be shown under that judge. Herd names are listed above with judge names.
