Volunteer at the Citrus Fair!
2023 Cloverdale Citrus Fair – February 17-20
The fair is more fun when you help make it happen, and double the fun when you bring a friend.
Volunteers receive free admission on the day of their shift and a Cloverdale Citrus Fair t-shirt. Volunteers who help for 6 hours or more receive an invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on March 1st.
We ask that volunteers be 17 years of age or older. This is a great opportunity for high school students to finish up their community service hours!
Please read the job descriptions, then click on the “sign up now” link to choose the day and time you wish to volunteer.
- Warner Hall – Still Exhibits Monitor
Warner Hall houses all the beautiful crafts, photography, fine art, food creations, and quilts during the annual fair. Monitors are needed at the door and throughout the building to greet people, thank them for coming, answer questions, and keep the exhibits safe from the public (no touching!).
- Family Fun Zone
This area, located in the Camellia Room, is set a aside for families with the littlest fairgoers. Volunteers will assist at a “make and take” crafts table, supervise a coloring station, and monitor a toy area. This is also a place where mom’s can change a diaper and feed their babies.
- Orange Surprise and Lemon Delight Dessert Contests
The orange and lemon dessert contests are one of the highlights of the Citrus Fair. Amazing bakers bring their best culinary creations on Saturday and Sunday for a live judging in front of an audience. Winning entries will be added to the Cloverdale Citrus Fair Dessert cookbook.
Volunteers will help set up, check in the entries, cut and serve the desserts for the judges, and clean up.
Help make the magic happen!
- Livestock Lunch Runner
At the fair, lunch is provided for judges and clerks and help is needed to stock the beverage cooler, pick up lunch, deliver it, set up, and clean up. This help is needed on Saturday and Sunday of the Fair. Times are to be determined, so this role is not listed on the volunteer sign up. Contact Stefani Wright, Livestock Superintendent (contact info below) for more information.
